1. Permanent Commission (PC)

• General Duty Pilot (GD-P):
• Age: 21 to 23 years as of 25 April 2025
• Gender: Male
• Marital Status: Unmarried
• Height: 5 feet 4 inches (163 cm)
• Vision: 6/6 each eye (without glasses)
• Qualification:
• BS Math / Physics / Chemistry / Biology.
• BS (with FSC / ICS / A Level / International Baccalaureate background with physics as major subject) Computer Science / IT / AI / Economics / Finance / Statistics / English or Equivalent degree.
• BE (All disciplines)/BS (Engineering all disciplines) or Equivalent degree.
• MBBS/BDS or Equivalent degree.

Note: Each qualification must be with Minimum 1st division/2.5 CGPA from a Pakistan/Foreign University recognized by HEC.

Training Period: 02 years

To apply for a position as a commissioned officer in the Pakistan Air Force (PAF), follow these steps:

Application Process:

1. Check Eligibility:
   • Ensure you meet the age, nationality, marital status, height, vision, and educational qualifications required for the specific course you are interested in.
2. Prepare Required Documents:
   • Educational Certificates: Ensure you have original and attested copies of your educational certificates and mark sheets.
   • NADRA Smart Card: You must have a NADRA Smart Card.
   • Photographs: 04 passport-sized attested photographs.
   • Additional Documents: Any other documents as specified in the eligibility criteria.
3. Online Registration:
   • Website: Visit joinpaf.gov.pk.
   • Registration Period: The online registration is open from 31 August to 08 September 2024.
   • Process: Complete the online registration form with your personal details, academic information, and course preference.
4. Submit Application:
   • After completing the online registration, you may need to print out a registration slip or application form if required.
   • Ensure you have all required documents ready for submission.
5. Visit Information & Selection Centers:
   • Centers: Go to the nearest PAF Information & Selection Centre with your documents. Centers are located in various cities, including Abbottabad, Faisalabad, Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Peshawar, Quetta, Rawalpindi, Sukkur, and Gilgit.
   • Contact: Bring your original documents, passport-sized photographs, and NADRA Smart Card.
6. Selection Tests and Interviews:
   • Intelligence Test: You will be required to take an intelligence test.
   • Academic Test: An academic test relevant to your background and course.
   • Physical Test: Includes running, push-ups, sit-ups, and chin-ups.
   • Medical Examination: Initial medical examination and interview at the selection centre.
7. ISSB (Inter-Services Selection Board):
   • Shortlisted Candidates: If shortlisted, you will be called for further testing and interviews at the ISSB centers in Kohat, Gujranwala, Malir, or Quetta.
8. Final Selection:
   • Final Medical Examination: Conducted at CMB (Combined Military Hospital) Lahore.
   • Flying Aptitude Test (for GD-P candidates): Required if applying for General Duty Pilot.
   • Training and Induction: After final selection, undergo training as per the course requirements.

2. Intelligence Test followed by Academic Test
3. Initial Medical Examination and Interview at Information & Selection Centers
4. Initial Physical Test:
   • Running: 1 Mile in 08 minutes
   • Push-Ups: 15 in 02 minutes
   • Sit-Ups: 20 in 02 minutes
   • Chin-Ups: 03 in 02 minutes
5. ISSB Testing (for shortlisted candidates)
6. Final Medical Examination at CMB Lahore
7. Flying Aptitude Test (GD-P candidates only)
8. Final Selection by Air Headquarters

INELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS:

A candidate is ineligible if he is:

1. Rejected by ISSB/GHQ/NHQ/AHQ Selection boards...
   1. Twice Rejected by ISSB for Post Graduate Entry.
   2. Twice Rejected by ISSB for intermediate/graduate (PMA/Graduate/Equivalent) and once rejected by ISSB OR GHQ/NHQ/AHQ based selection boards.
   3. Once Rejected by ISSB for intermediate/graduate (PMA Graduate/Equivalent) and twice rejected by ISSB OR GHQ/NHQ/AHQ based selection boards.
   4. Twice Screened out by ISSB.

2. Tested within four months (120 days) gap of previous appearance in ISSB except waiver granted by the competent authority. However, bar of 120 days will not be applicable to candidates appearing in GHQ/NHK/AHQ selection boards.
3. Dismissed/Removed/Debarred from Govt services including armed forces.
4. Convicted in a court of law for any heinous offense to be ascertained by the competent military authority.
5. Permanently declared UNFIT by Appeal Medical Board (PUF by AMB).
6. Permanently Declared medically unfit due to Hepatitis B & C (AMB cannot by requested).
7. Withdraw from any bonded armed forces college/institution on disciplinary grounds.
8. Withdrawn/Discharge/resigned or purchase release from any armed forces officers academy/ training institution on any ground.
9. Tempering of academic certificates/forgery/concealment to get undue advantage will make an applicant permanently ineligible for all types of commission in Armed Forces.
10. Gives incomplete, false or wrongful information.
11. Thrice screened out by Army/Navy/ Air Force during preliminary selection.
